Chivda is generally made with a mix of deep-fried dry ingredients, which are fried lentils, flaked rice, peanuts (or other nuts), gram flour noodles (sev), corn, green chilies, coriander leaves, and curry leaves. These fried ingredients then mixed with salt, sugar, and some powdered spices. Process: In a kadai dry toast the corn flakes for a minute and then add salt and sugar let it milt and coat the corn flakes.

- Heat oil for deep frying in a kadhai
- When oil becomes hot add puffed rice and fry until crispy
- Once done, shake the ladle to remove excess oil and drain on a colander lined with tissue paper
- Now fry cornflakes until crispy
- Once done, remove from oil and place on the colander
- Fry peanuts in the same way
- Heat oil in a kadai, add sesame seeds
- When they start crackling add asafoetida, curry leaves and green chilli
- Fry for few seconds and switch off the flame
- Then add red chilli powder, turmeric, garam masala powder and mix well
- Next add fried puffed rice, fried cornflakes and fried peanuts
- Add sev bhujiya
- Add salt and powder sugar
- Toss everything well and let it cool completely
- Your cornflakes chivda is ready to serve
- You can store this chivda in air tight container for months
These fried ingredients then mixed with salt, sugar, and some powdered spices. Process: In a kadai dry toast the corn flakes for a minute and then add salt and sugar let it milt and coat the corn flakes. Now in another bowl add salt, sugar, red chilli powder, dried mango powder and mix it properly, add it to the corn flakes and keep on tossing it until well coated. Remove in a bowl and keep aside.
