- Take 3-4 tablespoons vegatable oil
- Get 180 ml boiling water
Steps to make Home made Bengal Curry:
- Chopped up onions, peppers and diced potatoes
- Heat the oil in a heavy passed pot on a medium heat, add chopped onions, cinnamon and 1 teaspoon of salt, stirring occasionally until the onions are translucent.
- After onions have been cooking for about 8 minutes add the garlic and ginger paste, cook for a further 5 minutes, stirring the pan occasionally, making sure the onions don't burn.
- Add your spices, coriander, cumin powder, curry powder, chilli powder, and turmeric powder, mix and stir well and cook on a very low heat for about 3 minutes.,stiring frequently to avoid burning.
- Add the chicken, making sure its thoroughly coated in onion mixture and spices,
- Add peppers diced pototatoes and canned tomatoes. Stir well.
- Boil 180ml of water and add to mixture, stir and mix well.
- Cover and cook on a low flame, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through, it usually tales about 15 - 20 minutes.
- Serve with Basmati rice or why not try cauliflower rice.
